Instrument Panel Insulator Seal

Procedure

The seal and Instrument Panel surface should be 21°C (70°F) prior to installation. The vehicle should remain 21°C (70°F) for one hour after assembly to allow adhesive to develop sufficient bond strength.
Clean all adhesive from the Instrument Panel and wipe the surface dry with a clean lint-free towel prior to installing the new seal.
When removing protective film from the adhesive backed seal, be careful not to touch the adhesive with your hands and do not allow the adhesive to come in contact with dirt or any foreign matter prior to adhesion.
Peel the adhesive backing from the seal.
Locate and position the seal to the instrument panel.
Using the palm of the hand, press the seal to the instrument panel and ensure full adhesion of the seal to the instrument panel is made

2	Instrument Panel Inflatable Restraint Fasteners (Qty: 2) Tighten 22 Nm (16 lb ft)
3	Instrument Panel Trim Pad Assembly Procedure Note location and routing of the electrical harnesses in order to ensure proper reinstallation. Disconnect the electrical harnesses and connectors. When replacing the instrument panel trim pad, transfer all necessary components. To transfer the inflatable restraint module to the new trim pad assembly, use a flat-bladed tool along the metal edge of the restraint module, pull away the trim to release the tabs of the inflatable restraint module.
