Turn the ignition OFF.
Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Front.
Reposition the vacuum brake booster hose.

Warning: Refer to Safety Glasses Warning.

Use compressed air to remove debris from the CMP sensor and surrounding cavities.

Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector (1) from the CMP sensor (2).
Remove the CMP sensor to engine front cover retaining bolt (1).

Remove the CMP sensor (2) from the engine.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution.

Install the CMP sensor to engine front cover retaining bolt (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
Install the CMP sensor electrical connector (1) to the CMP sensor (2).

Reposition the vacuum brake booster hose.
Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Front.

Reposition the vacuum brake booster hose.
Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector (1) from the CMP sensor (2).

Remove the CMP sensor to engine front cover retaining bolt (1).

Remove the CMP sensor from the engine front cover (2).

Install the CMP sensor (2) to the engine front cover.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution.

Install the CMP sensor to engine front cover retaining bolt (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
Install the CMP sensor electrical connector (1) to the CMP sensor.

Remove the power steering fluid reservoir. Refer to Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement.

Remove the CMP sensor electrical connector (1) from the CMP sensor (2).
Remove the CMP sensor to engine front cover retaining bolt (2).

Remove the CMP sensor (1) from the engine.

Install the CMP sensor (1) to engine front cover retaining bolt (2) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
Install the CMP sensor electrical connector (1) to the CMP sensor (2).

Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Front.
