Removal Procedure

Note: Introducing too much air into the power steering system will increase the amount of time required to bleed the system. Be sure to maintain fluid in the reservoir throughout this procedure.

Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
Remove the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement
Disconnect the air conditioning compressor hose from the condenser. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement
Disconnect the air conditioning evaporator thermal expansion valve tube from the condenser. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Tube Replacement
Disconnect the power steering gear outlet hose form the power steering cooler. Plug the power steering cooler. Plug the power steering gear outlet hose. Refer to Power Steering Gear Outlet Pipe/Hose Replacement
Disconnect the power steering fluid cooler outlet hose from the power steering cooler. Plug the power steering cooler outlet hose. Refer to Fluid Cooler Outlet Hose Replacement
Remove the air conditioning condenser bolts (1).

Remove the air conditioning condenser (2).

Installation Procedure

Install the air conditioning condenser (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution.

Install the air conditioning condenser bolts (1) and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
Plug the outlet of the power steering fluid cooler.
Remove the plug from the power steering gear outlet hose and connect it to the condenser inlet. Secure using the clamp. Refer to Power Steering Gear Outlet Pipe/Hose Replacement
Remove plug from cooler outlet hose. When fluid begins to flow from the hose, cap the hose using your thumb/finger. Remove the cap on the cooler and when fluid starts to flow from the cooler, connect the hose to the cooler. Secure using clamp. Refer to Fluid Cooler Outlet Hose Replacement
Connect the air conditioning evaporator thermal expansion valve tube to the condenser. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Tube Replacement
Connect the air conditioning compressor hose to the condenser. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Replacement
Install the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement
Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding
