Ride Height Sensor

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  3. Remove the position sensor link (1) from the lower control arm.

  4. Disconnect the electrical connector for the position sensor (2).
  5. Remove the nut (1) for the position sensor.

  6. Remove the position sensor (2).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the position sensor on the frame (2).

  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution.
  3. Install and tighten the position sensor nut (1) to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).
  4. Reconnect the electrical connector (2).

  5. Install the position sensor link (1) on the lower control arm
  6. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  7. Remove the support and lower thew vehicle.
  8. Reprogram the electronic suspension control module. Refer to Control Module References.

  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly, if needed. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  3. Disconnect the position sensor link (1) from the lower control arm.

  4. Disconnect the position sensor electrical connector (2).
  5. Remove the position sensor nut (1).

  6. Remove the position sensor (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the position sensor (2) in the vehicle.

  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution.
  3. Install the position sensor nut  (1) and tighten to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).
  4. Reconnect the position sensor electrical connector (2) .

  5. Install the position sensor link (1) to the lower control arm.
  6. Install the tire and wheel, if removed. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  7. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
  8. Reprogram the electronic suspension control module. Refer to Control Module References.
