Preliminary Procedures

1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Remove the heater inlet hose from the heater core tube. Refer to Heater Inlet Hose Replacement.
3. Remove the heater outlet hose from the heater core tube. Refer to Heater Outlet Hose Replacement.
4. Remove the evaporator hose assembly from the thermal expansion valve. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Replacement.
5. Remove the instrument panel tie bar. Refer to Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement.

10 Nm (89 lb in)

Procedure

With the aid of an assistant, remove the heater and air conditioning evaporator and blower module from the vehicle.

Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove instrument panel tie bar. Refer to Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement.
2. Remove blower motor control module. Refer to Blower Motor Control Module Replacement.

Procedure

1. Remove blower motor. Refer to Blower Motor Replacement.
2. Remove the 8 fasteners (1) securing front case.
3. Remove front case.
