Preliminary Procedures

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the left catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side.
1 Exhaust Front Heat Shield – Left Fastener (Qty: 3)
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution.
Tighten

6 Nm (53 lb in)
2 Exhaust Front Heat Shield – Left

Tighten

6 Nm (53 lb in)

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Partially lower and support the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust Muffler with Resonator, Exhaust, and Tail Pipe Replacement.
1 Nut (Qty: 2)
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution.
Note: Tighten the nuts until secure.
2 Exhaust Heat Shield

Procedure

Reposition the differential cooler pipes as necessary, if equipped.
