Preliminary Procedure

  1. Open and support the hood.
  2. Remove both wiper arm assemblies. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement.
  3. Remove the hood rear weatherstrip from the air inlet grille upper panel. Refer to Hood Rear Weatherstrip Replacement.
  4. Release the passenger side windshield retainer at the windshield far enough to remove only the passenger side panel.
1 Rivet Type Retainer (Qty: 3) Tip: Use a small bladed tool in order to release the center of the rivet and pull the entire rivet from the air inlet grille upper panel.
2 Air Inlet Grille Upper Panel- Passenger Side
3 Rivet Type Retainer (Qty: 6) Tip: Release the center pin and pull the retainer from the plenum hole.
4 Air Inlet Grille Upper Panel- Driver Side Tip: Release the windshield washer nozzle hose from the integral clip on the outer side of the air inlet grille panel.

Open and support hood in order to access the air inlet grille panel side seal.
1 Air Inlet Grille Panel Side Seal

Procedure

  1. Release the tabs securing the air inlet grille panel side seal to the rear upper fender flange.
  2. Disengage the rearward edge of the seal from under the top edge of the fender flange.

Open and support the hood assembly.
1 Plenum Panel Drain Hose

Procedure

Using a suitable plastic tool pry plenum panel drain hose from plenum lower panel.
