Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the rear compartment lid carpet. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Carpet Replacement.
2. Disconnect and unclip all wiring harnesses from rear compartment lid.
3. Disconnect the rear compartment key cylinder release cable from the lid latch and unclip the cable from the lid.

Procedure

Clean the mounting surface using a mixture of 50 percent isopropyl alcohol and 50 percent water by volume, or high-flash naphtha.
