Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the right and left front floor console side cover assemblies. Refer to Front Floor Console Side Cover Replacement - Right Side and Front Floor Console Side Cover Replacement - Left Side.
  2. Remove the front floor console rear cover. Refer to Front Floor Console Rear Cover Replacement.
1 Front Floor Console Armrest Assembly

Procedure

  1. Lift the front floor console armrest assembly to the full open position.
  2. Unsnap the armrest from the front floor console assembly.

Removal Procedure

  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Move the transmission shift assembly to the most rearward position possible.
  3. Pull the accessory power receptacle (1) up approximately 40 mm (1 5/8 inches). Refer to Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement.

  4. Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool and release the retainer securing the cover (2) to the floor console assembly.

  5. Lift the cover (2) up and rearward making sure that the accessory power receptacle (1) clears the transmission shift assembly.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connections.
  7. When replacing the front floor console front cover, transfer all necessary components.

Installation Procedure

  1. Before installing the front floor console front cover, loosely install the electronic traction control switch and the accessory power receptacle.
  2. Make sure the electronic traction control switch (1) is pulled out of the cover (3) approximately 25 mm (1 inch) and the accessory power receptacle (2) 40 mm (1 5/8 inches).

  3. Connect the electrical connections.
  4. Install the front floor console front cover (3) to the floor console assembly.
  5. Fully install the electronic traction control switch (1) and the accessory power receptacle (2).

Procedure

  1. Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool and release the retainer tabs securing the front floor console front cover to the console assembly.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connections.
  3. When replacing the front floor console front trim cover, transfer all necessary components.

  1. Remove the right and left front floor console side cover assemblies. Refer to Front Floor Console Side Cover Replacement - Right Side and Front Floor Console Side Cover Replacement - Left Side.
  2. Remove the front floor console rear cover. Refer to Front Floor Console Rear Cover Replacement.
  3. Remove the front floor console front cover assembly. Refer to Front Floor Console Front Cover Replacement.
  4. Remove the transmission control lever knob, if equipped with a automatic transmission. Refer to Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement.
  5. Remove the transmission control lever knob, if equipped with a manual transmission. Refer to Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement or Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement.
1 Automatic Control Transmission Control Lever Housing Bezel Fastener (Qty: 4)
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution.
Tighten

2.5 Nm (22 lb in)
2 Automatic Control Transmission Control Lever Housing Bezel

Procedure

Disconnect the electrical connections.
3 Front Floor Console Fastener (Qty: 4) Tighten

2.5 Nm (22 lb in)
4 Front Floor Console Assembly

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connections.
  2. When replacing the front floor console assembly, transfer all necessary components.

Procedure

Use a flat bladed plastic trim tool and release the retainer clips securing the console side cover to the front floor console assembly.

2 Roof Console Fasteners (Qty: 2)
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution.
Tighten

2.5 Nm (22 lb in)
3 Roof Console Assembly

Procedure

  1. Grasp the right and left sides of the roof console assembly and pull downward using equal force on each side in order to release the four retainer clips securing the roof console assembly to the headlining assembly.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connections.
  3. When replacing the roof console assembly, transfer all necessary components.
