Front Door Weatherstrip

Procedure

1. Open the front side door that the weatherstrip is being serviced.
2. Using a suitable tool, removal of the weatherstrip and retainers.
3. Using a suitable solution, clean the top surface of the rocker molding with a clean damp shop cloth.

Procedure

Install the auxiliary weatherstrip to the front top edge the rocker molding first then work the auxiliary weatherstrip rearward installing the retainers.

Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the front carpet retainer. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement
2. Remove the quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement.
3. Remove the quarter window reveal molding. Refer to Quarter Window Reveal Molding Replacement.

Procedure

1. Disengage/engage the weatherstrip retainers at the upper quarter panel.
2. Installing the weatherstrip, starting at the base of the quarter window and lock pillar. Work the weatherstrip clockwise around the door ring seating the weatherstrip on the pinch weld flange. Be sure to tuck the forward portion of the weatherstrip under the windshield frame weatherstrip.

Preliminary Procedure

Remove the front carpet retainer. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement

Procedure

When installing the weatherstrip start in the right upper corner (1) working counter clockwise around the door ring.
