Removal Procedure
- Open the rear compartment lid, check which system the vehicle is equipped with 4 tubes or 6 tubes. The 6 tube system has a drain tubes located on the left and right sides of the rear quarter panel wheel housing, remove the left side of the rear compartment trim to check for a drain tube. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement. if equipped remove the right side.

- Disconnect the quarter outer drain hoses from the retainers that attach the hose to the wheel housing brace, see graphics below in steps 6, 7.

- Mark the routing of the quarter outer drain hoses for reinstalling.
- Disconnect the quarter outer drain hoses located in the rear compartment wheel housing, just forward of the quarter outer pressure relief valves, see graphics below in steps 10, 11.

- Place all the windows in the full down position.
- Lower folding top into the storage compartment.
- Disconnect the water drain tube ends from the left and right side of the rear compartment upper gutter (1).

- Place the rear quarter windows in the full up position, this will allow access to the quarter panel tubes.
- Disconnect the drain tubes from the left and right side quarter panels (2).
- Remove the folding top frame from vehicle. Refer to Folding Top Frame Removal and Installation.
- Remove the folding top rear seal from the number 5 bow. Refer to Folding Top Rear Seal Replacement.
- Remove the folding top quarter outer drain panel (2) from the retainer edge (1) as follows:

- With a grease pencil, mark the distance from the end of the track to the edge of the folding top quarter outer drain retaining strip on the left and right side for reinstalling.
- Starting on the left side (Driver Side) corner of the number 5 bow.
- Use a suitable tool, remove the folding top quarter outer drain panel bead from of the number 5 bow track.
- Remove the folding top quarter outer drain panel from the folding top frame.
Note: All model year 2011 and some 2012 Camaro are not equipped with the 6 tube system.
Note: The quarter outer drain hoses are molded into the quarter outer drain panel.
Note: Ensure that the hose grommets remains in place for each rear gutter drain tube which is located in the upper corners of the rear compartment gutter. The front drain tubes are not equipped with grommets. The end of the drain tubes are pulled tightly and seated through a hole located in each upper quarter panel (2).
Installation Procedure
- Install the folding top quarter outer drain panel to the folding top frame starting on the left side (Driver Side).
- Install the quarter outer drain panel (2) retaining bead to the folding top number 5 bow retainer as follows:

- Place the folding top quarter outer drain panel retaining bead to the mark (1) on the number 5 bow, refer to step 18.1 in the removal.
- Starting on the left side (Driver Side) corner of the number 5 bow, work the folding top quarter outer drain panel bead back and forth around the track until fully seated.
- Install the folding top rear seal from the number 5 bow. Refer to Folding Top Rear Seal Replacement.
- Install the folding top frame from the vehicle. Refer to Folding Top Frame Removal and Installation.
- Place the rear quarter windows in the up position, insert the drain tubes in the drain hole of the left and right side quarter panels (2).

- Connect the water drain tube ends to the left and right side of the rear compartment upper gutter (1).
- Water test the vehicle to ensure a proper water tight seal.
- Connect the quarter outer drain hoses to the retainer that attach the hose to the wheel housing brace, see graphics below in steps 3, 4.

- Connect the quarter outer drain hoses located in the rear compartment floor pan just forward of the quarter outer pressure relief valves, see graphics below in steps 6, 7.

- Install the rear compartment side trim panels, see graphics below in steps 9, 10.

- Install the end of the drain hose (grommet) to existing holes near the quarter outer pressure relief valves.
- Reinstall the trunk trim panels.
- Place the folding top in the lock position, check for appearance and fit.
- Inspect the front edge of the folding top to windshield upper frame for a good seal.
- Water test the vehicle to ensure a proper water tight seal.
Note: When installing the rear compartment drain tubes into the gutter, ensure that the grommets stayed with the drain tubes to prevent water leaks. The front drain tubes are not equipped with grommets. The end of the drain tube are pulled through a hole located in each upper quarter panel 2 .
Note: Ensure that the quarter panel drain tubes are fully seated, if not water will enter the rear floor of the vehicle.
Note: Ensure that the drain hoses are not rolled or folded to prevent water backing up into quarter outer drain panel or rear compartment.
Note: For vehicles built before January 1, 2012 you may have to drill a 6 mm hole in the left and right wheel housing brace to attach the quarter drain hose retainer that is referenced as number 1 in step 3 and 4.
Note: Ensure that the grommet that is attach to the base of each quarter outer drain hose is fully seated into the rear compartment floor pan to prevent water entering.
Note: For vehicles built before January 1, 2012 you will have to trim the top of the rear compartment side trim panels to provide clearance for the drain hose referenced as number 1
Note: Make sure to reconnect electrical harness for the luggage shade sensor on the left trim panel.
